Every winter, as temperatures drop and heating bills rise, too many people across the UK face a stark choice: heat or eat. The Warm Welcome campaign was founded in response to the UK’s cost-of-living and fuel crisis (Warm Welcome | Find Community Spaces Near You). From its beginnings as a seasonal initiative, it has become a nationwide movement of thousands of community venues; from libraries to cafés, churches to community centres.

At Nourish Hub we’re proud to be part of the Warm Welcome campaign and one of 5300 warms spaces operating in the UK. What’s more is Nourish Hub is now part of WW’s champion programme. A growing network of warm spaces, which meet regularly, share learnings around funding, corporate support and advice.

As part of Nourish Hubs Winter Warm Offer, we are running additional opening hours with free refreshments, and a timetable of open access workshops and activities.

Our Winter Warm Hub runs on weekdays (e.g., 11am–12pm) right through the colder months, making sure there’s always a warm seat and a hot cuppa waiting. See our Eventbrite listing for more information: https://www.nourishhub.org.uk/events/.

We are also running Sip and Stitch Sewing Workshops with La Modista, a Boardgames Club, and Shared Reading led by a local resident Sharon. In the new year will be including more fun activities and advice clinic drop-in session.
