Penguin book donations create new connections at Nourish Hub

Following a fantastic morning in October 2023 celebrating National Poetry Day, Nourish Hub’s Book Club was born. Thanks to contact made by Lucy Anderson, Social Impact Manager at Penguin Random House, Nourish Hub were inspired to start their own book club. The initial response from the community was so positive and inspiring that the call from Penguin couldn’t have been more exciting, or timely.

Nourish Hub and The Advocacy Project: Working with adults with learning difficulties to create confidence and independence

Back in March 2023, Karen Ludford, Learning Disabilities User involvement Team Leader at The Advocacy Project, found out about Nourish Hub and the work being done by the team of staff and volunteers. After meeting with Andreea, Nourish Hub Deputy Manager, Karen was overwhelmed not only by the feeling she gained from the safe, welcoming space, but by the ethos and aims of Nourish Hub.

Working with the Chiswick House & Gardens Trust

In the spring, one of Nourish Hub’s ex-volunteers, Claire, introduced Nourish Hub to local charity and historic green space, Chiswick House & Gardens Trust who were looking to collaborate with local community kitchens by donating produce grown in their kitchen garden.
