NOURISHed Cookery School
NOURISHed is UKHarvest’s cookery school at Nourish Hub. We teach local people to cook healthy, affordable and delicious food while helping to support the reduction of food waste in the home.
Classes are free to attend for adults and children who live, work or learn in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
For us, cooking is a vital life skill – something everyone should have the chance to learn and enjoy. Our cookery school has been designed to be fully accessible: with two cooking stations adapted to suit individuals with mobility needs or those who use wheelchairs. Additionally, all spaces in the hub are on one level with no dips, lips or stairs. Our cooking stations face each other, so participants can chop, chat and connect with their neighbours while they learn.

Chop and Chat
Chop and Chat is all about bringing people together to connect through food in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Open to everyone, the sessions enable people to work side by side, contributing to the creation of a meal. Once the cooking is done, you will sit together and enjoy the delicious meal you have created as a team.
These sessions are themed around seasonal food as all the food provided is rescued surplus food. Previously we’ve had summer picnics, explored flavours from around the world and marked winter with festive feasts.
Follow our What’s On page to find our next Chop and Chat sessions.
Nutrition Workshops (for Schools and Businesses)
Our education team visit schools and businesses to deliver engaging workshops and talks about all areas of food, food waste, health, nutrition and wellbeing.
Each session is tailored to your audience whether we’re delivering to a school during autumn learning about the harvest festival and food waste on farms, or a business wanting to improve their employee health and wellbeing.
If you’d like to us to deliver a workshop at your school or workplace, get in contact using the enquiry form below.
Bespoke Projects
Our Education team delivers projects beyond our core programmes, working with partners to create unique food and learning experiences.
Recent projects have included food demonstrations at Exhibition Road Festival, Livat brain health drop-ins with tasting sessions and a special sketch and share “Chop and Chat” session with the families team at the V&A.
We’re always excited to explore new collaborations. If you’d like to discuss a bespoke project, please get in touch using the enquiry form below.
“The classes are practical, well packaged with educational content, great ‘show and cook’ demonstrations and delicious food at the end as a reward.”
