Every week is Food Waste Action Week at Nourish Hub but we wanted to share a quick round up of what that actually looks like, in numbers.

  • Over 750 veggie and vegan meals served from Nourish Hub
  • Reached 50 people through 3 Educational activities that took place in our training kitchen
  • The education team delivered a sustainable repurposed catering event
  • Shared a repurposed lunch with our board members.

The team at UKHarvest and Nourish Hub are continuing to fight food waste at every opportunity, through our food delivery, our education courses and our community engagement events.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us. If you would like to be part of the Nourish Hub journey then check out our socials to see what’s on, what’s cooking and how you can get involved @nourishhub.

We can’t wait to see you at Nourish Hub soon.

At Nourish Hub, we believe good food is just the beginning. It’s a route to better health, stronger community ties, and a sense of belonging. That’s why, this spring, we piloted a new project that combined our cookery course with a free on-site creche for children under five so parents could participate fully, without worrying about childcare.
"Meals and a Chat" is a services provided by Nourish Hub in partnership with the Council's Adult Social Care department. This service goes beyond the traditional "Meals on Wheels" service by offering a greater variety of meal options and social interaction through wellbeing checks during delivery.
Nourish Hub welcomed 72 young people aged 8–12 from local schools into our training kitchen for six days of hands-on learning, discovery, and delicious food at our ‘Fun with Food’ clubs.
