Nourish Hub is seeking a passionate and dynamic Assistant Chef to join our team. This is a part-time role where you will be responsible for preparing meals for both internal and external events, including Surplus Suppers, Holiday Events, and catering for community partners such as Imperial College and Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

Building Community Through Food and Warm Spaces at Nourish Hub
At Nourish Hub, we believe that food is more than just the something we eat—it’s a way to bring people together, create meaningful connections, and build stronger communities. That’s why, with the support of Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s Warm Welcome Grant, we’ve been piloting exciting new initiatives to make our space even more welcoming and inclusive for local residents.
Reducing Social Isolation in H&F
Our mission is to tackle social isolation and food insecurity, with one of our main goals to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental services. We have a warm and inviting space for our community, as well as a fantastic group of volunteers, staff and regular customers that visit Nourish Hub for a range of different purposes.
7 reasons to volunteer at Nourish Hub in 2025
NourishHub is a community kitchen in Shepherd’s Bush, serving 3-course vegetarian lunches to residents Monday to Friday. All produce used in the kitchen is surplus or rescued, supplied by charities including UKHarvest, City Harvest and the Felix Project, as well as restaurants and shops. Volunteers make up 75% of the workforce at NourishHub.
Behind the Lens – The Creatives Who Brought Our Cookbook to Life
The Notting Dale Community Cookbook was a project curated by Nourish Hub and supported by the Future Neighbourhood 2030 Programme. The goal was to create a legacy of collaboration in Notting Dale, encourage residents to reduce food waste and improve their diets, and highlight the rich diversity of food culture and people in Notting Dale.Â

Celebrating Notting Dale Cookbook – Our Community Supper Celebration
On 28th November, the Notting Dale Community Cookbook launched at a special community supper celebration, which used recipes from the book as inspiration for the night’s menu.
